Hand-Stamped Quality Guide
Remember, hand-stamped patches are not machine-perfect. I am not mass produced and everything is handmade through feralpunkx (just one person!) and sorted into these 2 categories by my own perception and judgements on quality. Sometimes that line is a little wibbly-wobbly, but I try to sort patches the best I can. Here is a good scale to see what I consider to be misprint vs. A-grade quality.
The top row (plus bottom left purple print) I would categorize as misprint quality.
The bottom right (pink, grey, purple) I would categorize as A-grade quality.

A-Grade Quality: Patches in this category have the least noticeable imperfections, or it's that the imperfections don't take away from the design. These can look like fuzzy borders, heavy or light ink, some jitter, etc.
Misprint Quality: Patches in this category are B-grade prints and lower. These are patches that maybe don't look the best, or are stamped on poor quality fabrics, but it is a cheaper alternative for those who don't mind more imperfections in their handmade patches. The types of imperfections on misprints are vast, but can look like: heavy smudging, extremely faint areas that take away from the design, major off-alignments, or generally funky ink behavior.
Misprint patches can be a fun way to get bundles of patches for cheaper. If you get misprints in your bundles that you don't want to use on clothing, other good ways to use them can be in scrap projects, patchwork, collaging or journaling, and experimental sewing. And if there's a patch you don't resonate with, consider giving it to a friend!
